Hi, I’m Cecelia, the artist and maker behind Burning Bush Arts.
Burning Bush Arts began after an unexpected early retirement. I had never considered myself creative—in fact, my interests had always been much more analytical—so discovering painting and resin surprised me as much as it surprised everyone who knew me.
I began with painting, but resin opened a whole new world for me. I loved experimenting with colors, finishes, and ideas—and watching each piece become something I had not quite imagined when I started.
Many of my pieces begin with something that catches my eye or sparks an idea, but more and more, new designs are beginning in my own imagination. I enjoy taking that inspiration and making it my own-whether it starts with a color, a shape, or a customer asking, “Can you make something like this?”
I tend to be a perfectionist, so I put a lot of care into every piece. I want customers to feel they received something special, even when it was not a custom order.
One of the unexpected joys of this business has been getting to know customers, hearing the stories behind their requests, and creating pieces that become meaningful to them.
I never expected this chapter of my life, but I am enjoying where it has led me—and I am still surprised by what I create next.
